In addition to his six feature films, including cult classic 'Spun', Jonas has brought his unique, highly stylized auteur approach to Netflix, directing the graphic-novel-adapted feature ‘Polar’ starring Mads Mikkelsen. The film aired to 130 million subscribers and landed the #1 spot on iMDb MovieMeter for two consecutive weeks. In 2018, Jonas’ feature ‘Lords of Chaos’ starring Rory Culkin and Sky Ferreira premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was described as “a pitch-perfect black metal dramedy” in Variety.
Jonas’ commercial work has been recognised with Addy, Cannes Gold Lion, and Cannes Grand Prix Awards, and his music videos have earned him several Grammy Awards, an Icon Award, MTV Video Music Awards, and the prestigious MVPA Hall of Fame Award. Jonas received his third Grammy award for Best Music Film for Paul McCartney’s ‘Live Kisses’ and his contribution to Beyoncé’s visual album ‘Lemonade’ earned an Emmy and Grammy nomination. His concert films include Rammstein:Paris, Beyoncé & Jay-Z – On the run, and Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour Live for Apple TV. He’s also created several music driven documentaries for artists such as Madonna, Paul McCartney, and Billy Idol.
Jonas latest work ‘Clark’, a six-episode Netflix drama series starring Bill Skarsgård, premiered on Netflix worldwide in May.
