Jake Scott is an Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated director. A partner in the Ridley Scott Creative Group, Jake is also a founder of music video production company Black Dog Films.  

 

Jake’s notable commercial work includes the multi award-winning Johnnie Walker ‘Gentlemen’s Wager’ films, the Budweiser Clydesdale Super Bowl trilogy, HBO Voyeur - a ground-breaking multimedia campaign which won a Cannes Grand Prix and Cannes Cyber Lion, and the Emmy-winning Nike ‘Move.’ 

 

Jake has directed music videos for the likes of Erykah Badu, Radiohead, The Strokes, and REM. In 2020, Jake directed the world’s first geo-located video for the American National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.  

 

In 2021, Jake directed the feature documentary ‘Knebworth 1996’ the story behind Oasis’ biggest gig. It was the highest-grossing UK documentary of the year. 2021 also saw Jake direct ‘Kipchoge: The Last Milestone’. Working with 16 DOPs, the film captured marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge’s attempt to redefine the limits of human achievement by breaking the last great barrier of modern athletics, the sub two-hour marathon. The UK Sky release saw 54,000 viewers on broadcast, ranking as it’s 8th best sports documentary of all time. 

 

Jake’s recent commercial work includes the Pepsi x Gladiator II ‘Make Your Gameday Epic’ campaign. Named the No. 1 ad kicking off football season by AdAge, the spot featured Megan Thee Stallion and NFL superstars Travis Kelce, Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, and Justin Jefferson.
