Directors / Benito Montorio

In Benito Montorio’s early days as a documentarian, he embedded with hustlers, con artists, football hooligans, drug gangs and mafia kingpins, from the Chungking Mansions of Kowloon to the Favelas of São Paulo to the jungles of Bolivia and the hills above Corleone– all to capture and tell incredible stories.

Through this experience, he honed his talent for producing a dizzying array of intrepid, indelible images and quiet human revelations, alternately gritty and gorgeous, masterfully lit and framed.

His work is forged in the marrow and resonates there. Recent work for Dove (“Reverse Selfie”) garnered top awards at D&AD, One Show pencils, and a Gold Lion.
